Sometimes it is an act of faith to get out of bed, out of our comfort zones, and to take a risk. My most recent column in the Sun discusses this:
Imagine if the generation ahead of us had stayed in the comfort of their bed. I for one am thankful that they did not. They got out of bed and fought for equal pay, regardless of race and gender. If the various unions and organisations had not sent petitions, submitted memoranda, organised rallies, marches and demonstrations, not only would women have less pay, but children too. Yes, child labour is not a foreign concept in Malaysia.
So are you comfortably in your bed? Or are you willing to take a risk?
